| The course is given by Anna Penkner, DesignDoppel, Hamburg. IMPORTANT: pre-work and basic expertise in Adobe Illustrator required! This course is for participants with prior knowledge of basic illustrator functions. We will get a deeper understanding of the program, learn how to structure more complex projects and go through some advanced illustrator functions like drawing your own shapes, using the pattern brush for custom repetitive sequences, vectorizing bitmap graphics and many more. Together we will discuss examples of good and bad poster solutions to sharpen the participants view on it. Is the topic and message clear? Where is the visual focus? Does the structure work? What could be improved? Later in the course the group will also have a look at the participants" individual projects. It is therefore absolutely NECESSARY to bring a project - it could be something that has been finished in a prior semester, a current project or a new task or idea, where the scientific input is already available. There will be enough time to work on the project and get professional design feedback as well as individual help with the program. |
