Fundamentals of Time Management
Lecturer:
N. N.
Course typ:
Blockveranstaltung
Description:
The course is given by Dr. Nadine Sinclair, Munich.

Most scientists are generally masters of their own time, however are often struggling with the unstructured nature of their occupation. On the other hand, the number of emails that seemingly demand immediate attention is steadily increasing and can create a distorted sense of priority. This workshop teaches practical techniques to help scientists to focus on results and establish healthy productive habits that will reduce stress and help to get more out of each day. Participants will discover existing habits that keep them from managing their time efficiently, learn how to take control of their time by managing distractions, eliminating time sinks and focusing on their priorities.
During the workshop, participants will have:
-developed an understanding on how they are spending their time,
-identified their priorities and set SMART goals,
-learned how to make quick, effective decisions,
-understood how to control distractions and stay focused on their priorities,
-learned how manage communication workflow effectively and efficiently and
-made a plan on how to re-organise their workspace to improve efficiency.
