Teilnehmende The course is aimed at highly motivated Bachelor and Master students of psychology, biology and physics who have a particular interest in research.
Voraussetzungen Prerequisites are completion of the lecture Biologische Psychologie II/Kognitive Neurowissenschaften or an equivalent university course. In addition, t is mandatory to take part in the preceding course MATLAB in Biopsychology and Neuroscience - M.Bio.372 (Prof. Alexander Gail) - https://www.dpz.eu/de/abteilung/kognitive-neurowissenschaften/lehre.html - if you do not already have sufficient MATLAB experience.

The numbers of participants for these courses are limited. In order to be able to participate in the selection of places for the seminars, pre-registration is required by Sunday, April 11th, 2021, exclusively via the StudIP entries for M.Bio.372 or M.Bio.373. The possibility of participating in the course is only confirmed if you have been informed personally by email or during the first event.
Die Teilnehmerzahl für diese Kurse ist begrenzt. Um an der Platzauswahl für die Seminare teilnehmen zu können, ist eine Voranmeldung bis Sonntag, den 11. April 2021, ausschließlich über die StudIP Einträge für M.Bio.372 bzw. M.Bio.373 erforderlich. Die Möglichkeit der Kursteilnahme ist erst bestätigt, wenn Sie per email oder im Rahmen der ersten Veranstaltung persönlich darüber informiert wurden.

Kommentar/Beschreibung

This introductory course is a mixture of lecture, seminar and practical exercises and will emphasise the importance of psychophysics as a central method in human perceptual and sensorimotor research. Beyond gaining an understanding of the underlying theoretical principles, students should also be able to critically assess published studies and design and conduct their own psychophysical experiments by the end of the course. The course will be taught in Englisch.

Anmelderegeln

Diese Veranstaltung gehört zum Anmeldeset "Limited number of participants: Matlab in Biopsychology and Neuroscience".
Folgende Regeln gelten für die Anmeldung:
  • Die Anmeldung ist möglich von 03.03.2021, 23:59 bis 12.04.2021, 00:01.
  • Folgende Personenkreise werden bei der Platzverteilung bevorzugt:
    • Abschluss ist Master Uni mit Abschluss und Studienfach ist Microbiology-Biochemistry (3 Personen)
    • Studienfach ist Biologie (1126 Personen)
    • Abschluss ist Master Uni mit Abschluss und Studienfach ist Developmental-N-B-Biology (146 Personen)
    • Studienfach ist Psychologie (844 Personen)

    Höhere Fachsemester werden bevorzugt behandelt.
  • Es wird eine festgelegte Anzahl von Plätzen in den Veranstaltungen verteilt.
    Die Plätze in den betreffenden Veranstaltungen wurden am 12.04.2021 um 02:59 verteilt. Weitere Plätze werden evtl. über Wartelisten zur Verfügung gestellt.

Die Auswahl der Teilnehmenden wird nach der Eintragung manuell vorgenommen.
