Interreligious talks in the Middle Ages? Christian-Jewish-Islamic dialogue writings from the 11th and 12th centuries
Veranstaltungstyp: Seminar (Lehre)
Beschreibung: There are numerous dialogue writings from the 11th and 12th century in which Christians, Jews, and Muslims refer to each other (e.g., Petrus Abaelardus: Collationes; Jehuda Halevi: Kuzari). It can be assumed that, in some way, those texts were related to real exchanges about the different faiths. Starting from the source texts (in English translation), in the seminar we will reflect the interactions between Christian, Jews, and Muslims at that time.
