Today super-resolution microscopy techniques which allow to resolve structures beyond the diffraction limit are invaluable tools for biological and biomedical research. In this course we will discuss the basics and practical aspects of STED nanoscopy. The course consists of lectures about fluorescence light microscopy and STED nanoscopy in particular as well as sample preparation. In the practical part the participants will perform an antibody-staining and get the opportunity to image their samples with a state-of-the-art STED microscope.

The course will take place in November 2022 at [MPI for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Department of NanoBiophotonics, T2, 1st floor][1]

Important:

Once participation has become binding after the signing-out period, cancellation is only possible via the GGNB or GAUSS Office with a) sick certificate, or b) statement by supervisor for scientific reasons. You can register and sign out for methods courses in November 2022 from 1-20 September 2022. The slots will be assigned around 25 September 2022.
In exceptional circumstances, you can still sign out until 30 September 2022.
